2021 Chevy Blazer

The all new Chevy Blazer was actually reintroduced by General Motors for the 2019 model year coming in as a midsize crossover utility vehicle. They are now making ready to introduce the 2021 Chevy Blazer, which is slated to gain quite a few standard safety features.
The biggest news is the Chevy Safety Assist package is now standard on the majority of the Blazer trim levels for the 2021 model year. The trim levels that it will now be standard on are 2LT, 3LT, RS and the Premier. The Chevy Safety Assist package has six active safety features in total which are now part of most of the trim level’s content.

The Safety Assist Package for 2021 has the following features:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Front Pedestrian Braking
  • Lane Keep Assist W/ Lane Departure Warning
  • Follow Distance Indicator
  • Forward Collision Alert
  • IntelliBeam
  • Lane Change Alert W/ Side Blind Zone Alert

For 2019 and the 2020 model Blazers these features were offered as part of optional packages. These included the Enhanced Convenience and Driver Confidence II Package.

In the 2021 Chevy Blazer, the Convenience and Driver Confidence Package has a different set of safety features. This is available on LT 1 & LT2 and standard Lt3, RS and Premier. These features are Rear Cross Traffic Alerts and Rear Park Assist w/ Audible Warning.
Another reminder about the 2021 Chevy Blazer is that it will be offered with three engines and transmission configurations, which include:

  • 2.5 I-4 LCV and nine speed automatic M3D
  • 2.0 I-4 LSY turbo and nine speed automatic M3T
  • 3.6 V6 and nine speed automatic M3V
